Miniature Tractor

Pulling for the Burned and Crippled Child

During mid August of 1992 a group of Wayne Shrine Club members met to discuss the possible formation of a new unit. Interest among the nobles was exceedingly high and, by the end of October, a new unit was indeed formed with fourteen miniature tractor rigs already purchased. Thirty-five members were on the rolls, uniforms had been ordered, and the Sudan Mini-Rigs were off and running.  "Pulling for the burned and crippled child" was adopted as their motto. They now have 20 miniature trucks and 8 recovery vehicles.  A prerequisite for joining Sudan Mini-Rigs is sustaining membership in Wayne Shrine Club.
Sudan Mini-Rigs is unique in that ALL income from ALL parades is given to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
