Webmaster comments:   Jacob, if you have read any of the postings on this website, you know that we worship God. To be a Mason you must profess a belief in God and a life hereafter.

If you don't know anyone who is a member, check in your phone book for a Masonic Lodge and call them.

This has been a great help to me. I have been away from Masonry for many years and am planning to return.

Liked the site very much. Several years ago, I tried to catalog the masonic poetry of Brother Kipling having found a book of his Complete Verse. While the five that are posted on this site are purely Masonic, several others have either plain or vieled Masonic references or phrases. for example the poem "The Press" (first stanza): The Soldier may forget his Sword, The Sailorman the Sea, The Mason may forget the Word, The Priest his Litany, .

Webmaster comments:   I fully agree. His prose is also liberally spiced with Masonic references. Some completely Masonic, i.e. "The Man Who Would Be King."

Webmaster comments:   Masonry suffers with every loss, be it due to demit, death, or inactivity. Please keep us informed of your status. I'd like to be able to say to you, "Welcome back, good and faithful Brother!"

Webmaster comments:   Thanks, my brother, for your kind words.
We have an honorary member from Mother Kilwinning #0 who visits with us for a short time each Fall.
Even though our Domain is primarily for the support of Lodges in North Carolina, we do attempt to make this site of interest to others and we treasure the comments we receive from Brothers all over.

my father is a mason in russell, ontario, canada. i am a student of the bible and feel that there are likely quite a few similarities betwixt what my faith is and what the faith of a mason would be. The trouble is, it is quite difficult for me to openly chat with my father about freemasonry. Could you please direct me to a reliably source on the net where I can learn that which can be made known unto me? thanks and your site contains many an interesting fact!
28 June 2006, Time: 23 : 26 - ottawa, ontario, canada

Webmaster comments:   You should speak with your father!
A Mason does not change his faith simply because he becomes a Mason. Freemasonry has no effect on a man's faith or choice of religious doctorine other than to make what he already has more deeply felt than before.
Masonry does not teach any particular religion, it encourages us to continue with our religious preference as long as it's foundation is a belief in God, by whatever name we might give Him.

Hello from England! What a great site, i have enjoyed looking around it. My husband is in a lodge in England, Wentworth Lodge No: 737, and is a Past Master, having gone through the chair in 2000. We wondered if any of your members could help us to research a book we have in our posession. It is by David Sickels, called: General Ahimon Rezon and Freemasons Guide. Dated 1865 in hardback, and signed by the suthor. I have tried to research it on the net, but to no avail. Kind regards Helen Smith

Webmaster comments:   I have found one reference at http://www.lily.org/blog/2006_01_01_archive.html although not very enlightening. Also check out http://www.sacred-texts.com/eso/sta/sta18.htm for more info, however they both refer to Daniel Sickels but the date and subject matter is correct. Even better is http://www.masonicworld.com/education/files/jun03/evolution_of_the_cornerstone_cer.htm and http://www.book-of-thoth.com/thebook/index.php/Secret_Teaching_The_Hiramic_Legend as well as http://www.cesnur.org/2006/sd_homer.htm and others. I'm afraid that your problem is in the author's name, David instead of Daniel.
I hope this is of some benefit to you.

I enjoyed looking through your list of poems. I wonder if you can help me. Many years ago an old Mason used to recite a poem called "The Apprentice Dream" I have been looking for a copy for some time now. Have you heard of this poem and, if so, could you send a copy?

Webmaster comments:   I have not been able to find a masonic poem with this exact title. Perhaps someone visiting this site may know of it and respond...
