As I have said many times in this guestbook, Find a Mason and ask him for a petition. Look in the phone book for a local lodge if you don't know a Mason. Or, get the Grand Lodge address from our home page and inquire from them. |

Great site, nice explanations of etiquette and so forth. I found while looking for prayer suggestions (on the road for work, attending a funeral tomorrow); prayers are very good, too.

I recently purchased a bible from a sale at my local library. It was given to E.A. Thomas B. Carraway 2-19-26 when he was iniatated at the Doric Lodge #568 New Bern. passed 4- 19-26 raised 5-4-26. I can only assume he has passed on to his heavenly life, but i was hoping to find a way to confirm this. i was curious about his life and family, who he was. i feel honored to now own his Book. if you are able to forward me any information about him i would greatly appreicate it as i plan to print it out and place in his Bible. thank you!!!

I am currently stationed at Camp Taji Iraq. I am a E.A. Mason and in search of more light here but I can seem to find anyone or lodges. I really want to continue my journey to finish my walk with becoming a Master Mason. Can anyone help me? My e-mail address is christopher.jenkins7@us.army.mil

Webmaster comments:
Chris, I don't believe there will be any opportunities for your advancement while in Iraq. However when you return stateside, wherever you may be assigned, you should be able to progress on in a local lodge. They will need to communicate with your Mother Lodge to verify your status and then to help in your advancement through courtesy work. That will allow you to keep your membership in your Mother Lodge OR to petition for membership in your new lodge. Most U.S. jurisdictions will honor this type of mutual assistance for advancement. Good luck to you and PLEASE be safe. May God protect you and send you home whole and healthy. Be assured that we here are very thankful of what you and your buddies are doing to keep Freedom safe. Fraternally, |

I enjoyed reading you site while relaxing today. Everytime that I read about Masonary anywhere, I feel that I am becoming a better Mason through understanding its viewpoint from other Masons.

I am a member of Smithfield Union #18 in Smithfield, VA. I had an ancestor, Nathan Pate who lived in and married in Halifax, NC in 1774. How could I find out if he was ever a Mason? Does the Royal White Hart Lodge #2 have those records? I would also like to attend one of thier stated meetings, when do they meet? Thank you

I am a Master Mason and member of Ensley Lodge #278, Pensacola Fl., I was told that my Great Grandfather was a mason (family name Zwirtz) in Oklahoma around a hundred years ago, is there a master list somewhere that may have confirmation?

Webmaster comments:
Sorry, but such thing does not exist. It may be possible to contact the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma for verification, but many GL's do not have complete records for those early years, especially in the Western states. |
