This site is very good and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I firmly believe every Mason should read, absorb and enjoy that which has been placed before them.

Do you have the name of the Secretary of Huffman Lodge #633. I need to get current-- my grandson is being raised next month. Thanks

Webmaster comments:   MasonicSites.org is designed to provide assistance to North Carolina Lodges and therefore I looked in the NC listing for Huffman Lodge. Not finding it, I Googled Huffman 633 and found it to be in Alabama. They have a website but it is outdated. In 2005 the Secretary was Bro. B. Wayne Sparks--Ph. 205-854-2220. I hope this helps. I know how important it is to attend the Raising of your Grandson.

I 1st found myself seeking a brotherhood suited for me and took the initial step. Due to many distractions, I have lost my way and would like to continue my lessons. I will be returning to Iwakuni, Japan in July. Please advice.

You have no idea how delighted I was to read the poem 'WILFRID' on your websight. 25 years ago I was posted to the CID at Brighton Police Station in Sussex, England. I there met a Traffic Officer, what you would call Highway Patrol named Brian Parsons. Brian was Senior Warden in his Brighton Lodge and I was a Past Master in my London Lodge. I went to Brians Installation and thereafter many meetings as his guest and was always very impressed with the excellence of his ritual. Little did I know he had a tame gnome. Sadly Brian passed to the Grand Lodge above a few years ago but he would be delighted to know that he has a world wide memorial in Freemasonry.

Webmaster comments:   We never know how or if we'll be remembered. What better way than this? I'm sure Brother Parsons would appreciate a memorial such as this Thanks for passing on this bit of information.

I have used some of the poems at Lodge Meetings during my 3rd Time in the Chair. It made the evenings more intersesting for the Brethren who could have been fed up with that Bloke Talking again. Thank You

Hello, I am a brother mason from Iowa taking up membership in Northstar Lodge #447 as well as Arcadia Lodge #249. I will be coming to the Raleigh area this August as a grad student at NCSU. I was just surfing the web and thought I might as well see how the craft was doing in North Carolina.

I'm so pleased to see the activity of the Lodges in NC! I was raised a Master Mason at Occidental Lodge #40 on July 8, 1996 in Ottawa, IL. I'm moving in the fall of 2008 to Oriental, NC and look forward to participating in a nearby Lodge, probably New Bern's St. John's #3. I loved seeing the poetry, by the way; Robert Burns is my five-greats-uncle, as my four-greats-grandfather was Gilbert Burns, his closest brother.
4 July 2008, Time: 13 : 02 - Rockford, Illinois

Webmaster comments:   Brother David,
New Bern is a great city for Freemasonry! In addition to #3, there is also Doric Lodge which meets in the York Rite temple. I have attended both, but most often at Doric. I'm sure you will find them both to be excellent Lodges which will welcome you as a visitor or perhaps a member someday.
Hope to meet with you at some future date.
Fraternally

I am seeking information on my father's membership in the Masons in Charlotte, NC. I know he was a member in the 1950s and my mother was in the Eastern Star. His name was Robert James Grubbs and hers, Margaret McBrayer (Sing) Grubbs. He had a blue masonic Bible. Any informaiton you can provide will be appreciated.
