I am looking for a masonic poem to print in an ad for my cousin that is being honored. Will I violate any copyrights if I use "The Model Mason?"

Webmaster comments:   Not at all. Where possible, I would appreciate credit for my compilation of Masonic Poetry including my web site. However, if this is some printed matter that you will be distributing to guests, only do what you feel is in good taste.

Webmaster comments:   I assume you mean "How can I become a Mason?"
Having spent almost eight years in your beautiful country, I happen to know that Freemasonry is VERY active in the PI. You must first find a Mason, then ask for a petition. Its that simple.

I greet you Brethren. The Mission of Freemasonry is to promote a way of life that binds like minded men in a worldwide brotherhood that transcends all religious, ethnic, cultural, social and educational differences; by teaching the great principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth: and, by the outward expression of these, through its fellowship, its compassion and its concern, to find ways in which to serve God, family, country, neighbors and self.

I would like to become a member in my local area but don’t know any local members. I would like to be more a part of my community with the order. I have a friend that is a member but don’t want to impose upon him. I have always thought I had something to offer my community but have not found the right path yet. I am a current Elk and in good standings. Guidance would be helpful in this effort.
26 January 2008, Time: 20 : 38 - Livermore, Ca

Webmaster comments:   The only way you can gain entrance to Freemasonry is by asking a Mason for a petition. This friend of yours would be honored to give you a petition. You would not be imposing... Quite the contrary!
